Villa Marliana

Excellent Villa! Location perfect! Very clean. Kids loved it. Vera was very helpful during our visit.

We also enjoyed the stay in Villa Marliana very much.

Very nice house, garden and the view's are spectacular. And also have had the opportunity to see a little bit off the countryside.

I wanted to share our wonderful experience at Vila Marliana during our family trip to Tuscany this summer. I am hopeful that this review is what you are looking for.
We had a family trip to Tuscany in August 2024. There were 10 of us from our family in various parts of the U.S. Vila Marliana met and exceeded our expectations for our lodging, and more, during our trip. The location was perfect for us. It was close enough to Florence to allow us to go there a couple of days without needing to spend too much time traveling. We visited several other cities in Tuscany and the location allowed us to get to Siena, Cinque Terra and Castellina witghout too much travel time. The private chef that was recomended did an outstanding job for the 4 nights that he cooked for us!. We would highly recomend him if you are considering a private chef during a visit.
The Vila had been recently remodeled and stayed true to the historic furnishings for Tuscany. All the bedrooms were air-conditoned so we could sleep comfortably in the hot summer. The pool is great - nice size and on a beautiful setting overlooking vineyards, olive trees and the spectacular Tuscany countryside. It is only 5 kiiometers to Vinci, the home of Leonardo da Vinci!
Linda (the property manager) did an exceptional job for us. She was responsive and helpful. We had a couple of unusual requests and she worked diligently and effectively to help us! She did everything we hoped for and more!
I would highly recomend Vila Marliana if a Tuscany trip with Florence and other sites in Tuscany are in your plans!

The villa was beautiful and it was a pleasure to stay in such a well equipped house with stunning views. We were met at the gates by Linda who was a great host and made us feel welcome despite us arriving rather earlier than anticipated. Given the July heat the air conditioning in the bedrooms was much appreciated. The salt water pool was a great place to cool off both in the day and the evening and there were 2 large umbrellas for those wanting shade. One of the bathrooms had plumbing issues but as our stay was only 4 nights and with 5 other bathrooms to choose from we asked for it to be fixed after we left. We had initially been nervous of booking as there were no reviews (house new to the holiday rental market this season), a strict no refunds policy and electricity charged as extra, however, we a great stay and would recommend this property!

My family and I had the most wonderful Tuscan stay at this villa. Linda and her team were very helpful, accommodating our large group. We were a group of 12, with several children under ten years old. There were en suite bathrooms in every room, lots of space to relax and play and cook. The pool is so inviting and the views so gorgeous. There is delicious wine and olive oil made on the property available to purchase. No one wanted to leave. We definitely will return to this heavenly villa.

The house is amazing. We had a group of 10 and it still felt like everyone had their own space. The beds are comfortable, views are beautiful and the living spaces are great and the pool was wonderful. Poserelli made everything so easy including organising a private chef to cook for us on the first night. I only wish we stayed longer. Highly recommend.

Villa Marliana was a Tuscan dream come true! Set on a beautiful hill overlooking the rolling hills of Cerreta Guidi, this villa lived up to its description and provided our family a once-in-a-lifetime holiday in the countryside. The Villa itself was beautiful, private, fully equipped with everything we needed, and perfectly located.

Villa- The home itself was beautifully renovated and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The décor within the home was gorgeous and clearly done either by a homeowner who has a passion for interior design or a professional designer themselves. Each room had its own identity and feel, but came together seamlessly. You could find something new and beautiful each time you visited a room. Each bedrooms had an-suite bath and the furnishings were quite comfortable. The AC worked great in each room as well which was appreciated for cooling off at night. The kitchen was large and had an original Tuscan feel to it, while incorporating modern/high end appliances and finishes.

Grounds- The grounds surrounding the Villa are nothing short of stunning! The pool does not disappoint and provided an equal amount of pleasure for our family cooling off as it did sitting around it taking in the view! We loved sipping coffee on the comfortable outdoor couch/chairs and also eating family dinner on the patio while watching the sun set over the countryside. We appreciated the privacy of the property immensely and loved that it was not adjacent to other homes.

Service- Linda welcomed us and provided us with all the details we needed for a great stay including lists of area restaurants, shopping information, places to visit, and more. She was always quickly responsive if we had any questions and available whenever we did contact her. We also had a pasta making class arranged in the home by Posarelli Villas which was a highlight of our stay!

Location- Cerreto Guidi was the PERFECT location to stay. It was a short 45-minute ride from Florence, and within an hour or less to visit other Tuscan cities such as Lucca, Pisa, San Grimignano, Vinci, etc. We also loved that even if the weather was somewhat rainy in our location, we could do a quick drive south or west to explore other areas and be back in the sun! Cerreto Guidi itself was a quaint small village surrounded by wineries that welcomed us openly and treated us like family when we visited them!

Overall, we loved Villa Marliana and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a special Tuscan getaway!
