Villa Poggiolino

Der Kontakt vor Ort war sehr entspannt. Das Haus ist abgeschieden in völliger Ruhe. Was für eine große Personenzahl absolut toll ist. Vom Haus direkt los gibt es tolle Wanderungen und schöne Aussichten.
Alles was man benötigt ist im Haus und auch im Garten vorhanden. Der Garten ist KOMPLETT eingezäunt, so dass unsere Hunde den ganzen Tag rumstreunern konnten, wie sie wollten.
Wir waren eine Woche im der Villa Poggliolino und waren absolut zufrieden.
Das Einzige, was wir bemängeln ist absolut die Auffahrt. Für teure Autos nicht zu empfehlen und auch nicht für Jeden zu bewältigen. Bei der Ankunft hat es starkt geregnet, da war es für manche von uns nicht möglich die Auffahrt zu passieren. Unter der Woche hatten wir dann beim auffahren noch einen Platten.

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Für unsere Gruppe war sowohl Lage als auch Ausstattung super. Vielen Dank!

A Perfect Stay in a Beautiful Ancient Villa

I recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful ancient villa, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The villa itself is a stunning blend of historical charm and modern comfort, complete with a gorgeous swimming pool that was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view of the nearby castle – waking up to that every morning was truly magical! The villa was impeccably clean, and it was evident that great care had been taken to maintain its character while providing all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were always available to offer assistance and advice on local attractions, dining, and activities, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway. It’s a perfect blend of history, comfort, and hospitality, and we can’t wait to return!

Great stay!

Schönes altes Bauernhaus in alleinlage. Ausblick spektakulär schön. Außenbereich schön gestaltet mit mehreren Plätzen zum Verweilen. Innen in Ordnung. Geschirr in der Küche war bei Ankunft etwas dreckig. Wasserdruck in Duschen okay. Leider waren zwischendurch die Toiletten kaputt. Es gab 1 Durchgangszimmer, welches mit 2 Doppelbetten ausgestattet ist. Für 12 Erwachsene Personen ausreichend Platz bei 16 Gästen, müssen 4 im Durchgangszimmer schlafen. Alles in allem aber ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

It is a fantastic, romantic place and house. The hostess was very kindly and she made us a lovely Tuscan dinner.
The last part of the road was a bit challenging.

A very very beautiful villa, very well taken care of , in a beautiful surrounding. Everyone from age 14 to 82 had a great time. The photos were very accurate, the interior is beautiful and the beds very comfortable, not too soft. The pool was very clean and got cleaned every other day. Some bedrooms may only be reached by passing through another bedroom. It is pure Toscana feeling. As the property lies in the hills the way to reach it is a little steep and the view is gorgeous. And we were so well taken care of by Sue, who fulfilled any wish we had and helped us in any way possible. Already looking forward to our next stay.

Everything perfekt: Location (beware the steep path to the house but okay for normal compact cars), house, outside area and Host. It was an excellent stay!

Wunderschön am Hügel gelegen, die nächsten Nachbarn sind ein paar Hundert Meter entfernt (Laute Musik stört niemanden). Achtung: steile Zufahrt über einen Feldweg, aber mit normalen Kleinwagen machbar. Das Haus ist sehr schön, im alten toskanischen Stil erbaut und in einem super Zustand. 7 große Schlafzimmer sind perfekt für 14 Erwachsene (plus 2 mehr) und das Haus bleibt angenehm kühl. Wunderschöner Sitzbereich unter der Pergola mit Grillstelle. Und ein großer Pool mit ausreichend Liegen. Vermieter ist nett, kommt 2 Mal pro Woche vorbei, reinigt den Pool und nimmt den Müll mit (sehr praktisch). Dementsprechend kann ich die Villa sehr empfehlen.

The group of us (11 people) really enjoyed the stay at the house. Only two little points are to mention which are the reason that one star is missing:
- Lack of electricity (restrictions were necessary)
- Allocation of the rooms have limited the privacy a little

We had a wonderful week in Villa Poggiolino. We booked it for 14 people and had more than enough room for everybody. Also the amount of bathrooms fits perfectly for such a big group. The kitchen plus the grill also were well enough equipped to cook for everybody. The rooms were tidy and had comfortable beds. The pool was cleaned and the garbage was collected several times by the owner. Very nice service!
The only problems we had was the ramp up to the accommodation. It is a very steep 200m hill were a front wheel drive could reach its limits. You need some speed to get up there and are not allowed to break otherwise the wheels will turn and you have to go backwards. Also the ramp isn't flat but quite bumpy. So some of our cars' undersides suffered a little, especially when fully seated or packed after errands.
Aside of it, I want to finish my review by mentioning the wonderful scenery view and the peaceful silence in the area. A wonderful property to relax and be on your own. We would book it again.

Great Villa!

Abbiamo passato una bellissima settimana in un posto stupendo e anche ben tenuto davvero devo fare i miei complimenti per la gestione della villa, unica piccolissima nota dolente la strada per arrivarci un po' dissestata, ma direi che ne vale la pena!!

A comfortable house in a great location. Amazing views across the valley to the castle. Garden and pool well kept (pool has shade in the afternoon which was perfect for the long hot days). Shaded outdoor dining area was good - we had all our meals here. Plenty of beds - but some rooms are linked which can impact on privacy. Kitchen a little small but well equipped. 2 fridges very handy! Alessandra the owner was welcoming and attentive. Large supermarket and great gelateria in nearby Subbiano. Easy access to nearby attractions including Poppi, La Verna, Anghiari, Arezzo.

We spent a magical two weeks in this lovely Tuscan villa. There were 10 of us for the most part and 13 when family came for a few days. We all had plenty of space and were in awe of the breath-taking views from the villa. We visited Florence, Siena, Assisi and Arezzo. We found the people of the neighbouring village of Subbiano to be so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had to use the medical centre in Subbiano and were very impressed by the efficiency of everyone. Alessandra and Eugenia were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our holiday. Would recommend the beautiful Tuscan meal that Alessandra and her lovely mum can make for you in the villa. Just sad to be home.

Ein wunderschönes Haus, ein wahrer Ort der Erholung und Ruhe. Ideal für jeden der die Schönheit der Toskana ohne jede Ablenkung genießen möchte, weshalb es eigentlich auch ein Vorteil ist, dass das WLAN nicht funktioniert. Der Blick vom Pool ist herrlich und der Garten ein kleines Paradies. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und wir sind vor Ort hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend empfangen worden. Der einzige Nachteil ist das Durchgangszimmer, das man eigentlich nicht als Schlafzimmer nutzen kann, weil es der Zugang zu vier weiteren Zimmern ist. Es ist zwar ein sehr schöner Raum, aber kein Rückszugsort. Trotzdem würde ich das Haus jedem empfehlen und komme nächstes Jahr gerne wieder.

Superbe villa dans un cadre magique. Parfait pour ceux qui recherchent le calme. La description correspond à ce que nous avons trouvé. la température de l'eau de la piscine est un peu froide mais la propriété est très grande. Cela permet à tous le monde de trouver sa place. Super aussi pour les enfants! Il ne manque rien comme matériel et les sanitaires étaient nombreux. Les propriétaires ont été très flexibles pour nous accueillir.

We had a wunderful stay in villa Poggiolino.The villa was beautiful and well equipt and was situated on a spot with a breath-taking view over the Tuscany landscape.The outdoor facilities was excellent with the lovely barbecue area.We also had dinner at the castle nearby.The trips to Siena and Cortona was memorable.The service was god and the pool was cleaned every other day.This stay together with my family I will remember for life.The only negative was the dishwasher which was difficult to start sometimes.
