Our stay here was incredible in the peaceful and beautiful Italian countryside. The hosts were friendly and provided us with fresh homegrown tomatoes, melons, basil and olive oil. As per the listing description, the owners live on site but were friendly on arrival, kept to themselves but were really responsive when we accidentally locked ourself out of one of the flats! The kitchens were well equipped, everything was clean and well cared for. The outside space including the pool was beautiful. There were local shops we could drive to within 20 mins to pick up supplies. Would love to return!

Very spacious house. The owners live on the ground floor but the guests can use the garden and the pool for themselves. Airco is good. Pool and BBQ are good. The owners brought us a lot of vegetables from their garden. Pommodori, melons, onions, cucumbers, zucchini and melanzane.

We - a little family of 3 - had a great stay at Casa Violina. It is spacious, very clean and tidy and well equipped to spend your holidays. We had 3 wonderful weeks there.
The hosts were friendly and always offered a helping hand. Guests should be able to speak and understand some basic words in Italian then you will have a wonderful time.

Be advised that the property is in a very quiet and remote area and you should have a rental car to visit other places and do your shopping.

We had a fantastic 2-week stay at Casa Violina. Our hosts were exceptional, unobtrusive and regularly provided fresh produce from the garden, including an excellent Sunday lunch with wine! The house is perfectly located close to Cortona, Trasimeno, Pienza etc and has a lovely pool. I would return in the morning! Un posto tranquillo e comodo. Osti eccezionali!! Grazie infinito!!

Loved the villa and its location. At once tranquil yet easily accessible. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Walter the host was welcoming and left melon, tomatoes and other fruit - delicious! Leaving a more comprehensive list of how things work (e.g. there were sensors on the windows) etc. would have been useful, as well as a guide to local restaurants etc. Virtually the only thing that wasn't satisfactory was the Wi-Fi. It took a fair amount of time to get it going when working with Walter, and finally late in the Saturday evening we managed to get it working. However by Sunday it was not working again and no amount of re-logging in with the password made it work again. I did not want to bother Walter again since it had taken so long in the first place, so we coped without for the week, using up my data.

Overall, this is a great property in an excellent location. We experienced a couple amenity concerns and that is the reason for our 4 instead of 5 star rating
Cortona is very close, Lake Trasimeno as well. Both are great places for food and scenery. It is easy access to the Highway, so you can get to Florence, Siena & Assisi. All are less then 2hrs. away.

Nice house with a beautiful garden and a breathtaking view. Good for exploring the area; the villages in the area are very inviting and you can also go for long walks. Very calm and relaxing. Very recommendable.

We loved the beautiful house and especially the wonderful garden with swimming pool and barbecue. Wine was harvested in the area and we were allowed to watch in a fattoria how the grapes were pressed and pumped into huge containers. It was a great experience.
You should definitely visit Cortona. Thank you for the great holiday.

Wer absolute Ruhe und Frieden in schönster Umgebung sucht ist in Casa Violina genau richtig. Die Besitzer sind sehr nette Menschen die uns Tipps für die Gegend und für kleine, sehr sehr gute Restaurants gegeben haben.
Wir sind relativ viel herumgekommen, auch der Trasimeno-See ist eine schöne Abwechslung. Wir sind aber immer gerne wieder “nach Hause“ gefahren, an unseren wunderschönen Pool oder haben uns unter den grossen Bäumen in den Schatten gelegt und einfach nur vor uns hingeträumt.
